Info

For this project, the client sought to use the house as a base in an affordable area, with close links to the local airport for a weekly London commute.  Design of the four bedroom house was strictly governed by its irregular site and its end terrace position.  The new house looks to address the adjacent street block in scale and mass, tapering upwards to maximise the light and views over the River Foyle.  The ground floor parking is set back to allow the street levels to be aligned, whilst the entrance area is brought forward to maintain the street line.

The dwelling is to be built to Passive House standards and whilst unconventional, it seeks to be respectful to its setting, creating a contemporary urban dwelling.
